Duchess China have teamed up with ceramist, Sue Pryke, to develop a range of inspiring bone china mugs. Sue is an award winning ceramic designer, specialising in tableware design, who has worked with clients including IKEA, John Lewis, Marks and Spencer and Wedgwood. She’s written a book on Ceramic Design and was also on our TV’s as one of the judges on The Great Pottery Throwdown.
She started her career here in Stoke on Trent in the early 1990’s as a junior shape designer at Wedgwood and now works across a diverse genre of ceramics, from making individual porcelain collections in her studio to producing bespoke ranges for Michelin star chefs. Her style has been described as pared down with an understated elegance, giving warmth and familiarity to mass produced items.
